Korean Romantic Remake Takes a 28-Year Leap
Jung Woo-sung, renowned for “A Moment to Remember,” teams up with Shin Hyun-been from “Hospital Playlist” in the Genie TV original series “Tell Me That You Love Me.” This remake, set to debut on Nov. 27 on Genie’s streaming service and simultaneously on Disney+ in Japan, pays homage to a Japanese hit series from 1995, aired on Tokyo Broadcasting Systems. The narrative, crafted by Kitagawa Eriko, unfolds a tender love story between a budding actress and a hearing-impaired painter, echoing the original’s success.
Directed by Kim Yoon-jin and adapted by Kim Min-jung, the 16-episode Korean adaptation promises a fresh take on the timeless romance. With production by New Studio and Artist Studio, the series is set to captivate audiences on the Korean cable channel ENA, promising a contemporary spin on the classic tale.
